私はこれまで、作品において時事を扱うことはなかった。
私なりの絵画を追求することがすべてだと思っている。
とはいえ、東日本大震災の直後には、色彩が消え、反射することで鑑賞者の存在を感じられる銀色を選んでいる。
今回の、新型コロナウィルスは、私にとって大きな出来事になった。
この未曾有の事態により、「明日死ぬかもしれない」という感覚があった。
それならばと、身体を可能なかぎり使ったサイズの作品を制作した。

I think I have been occupied pursuing “painting” ,therefore, I don’t reflect on current affairs.
But when The Great East Japan Earthquake happened,I selected monochrome colors.
I used the color silver on black.
When the viewer looks at this work,he/she can see the vague presence of his/her selfishness.
I think COVID-19 has had a large influence on me.
Around March of 2020, when I was watching TV or checking on the internet for information,I had a feeling that I may face death tomorrow.
If it should happen,I made long strokes as far as my body could stretch.
Please do not miss them.
